At my daughter's piano recital, I was sitting next to a mom friend who lived in the same apartment complex and was obsessively complaining about the hardships of being a single parent, but she admonished me and said, "I'll listen to it tomorrow..." and later went to her room. My daughter tried making a chiffon cake at a friend's house and wanted to make it for her dad too, but since she couldn't do it alone, her mom friend made it and brought it over.
