かつて劇団員として俳優をやっていた主人公・加藤ツバキ。現在は結婚し、専業主婦として幸せな日々を過ごしていた。だが、旦那が病気で倒れ、多額の借金が発覚し途方に暮れていた。しかしそんなある日、劇団員時代の先輩から連絡が来た。現在先輩は劇団を主宰しているとの事だ。そして、世間話もそこそこに、ズバっと単刀直入に役者をやってみない？と頼まれる。しかし、電話の向こうで話す、その大阪弁の先輩が主宰をしているのは、劇団ではなかった。クライアントの指定する人物になりすまし、演じきる請負女優というものだった。自身の状況などを踏まえ、迷いつつも依頼を快諾する事となった。だが、その依頼内容が…。
