DESCRIPTION
Futaba, the proprietress of an inn in a hot spring town near Chichibu, hears from her husband, the manager, Isamu, that a travel guide writer is coming incognito for an interview, and ends up giving excessive entertainment to the man. In addition, Kuniko, the waitress who has a side crush on Isamu, who is baking yakimochi, approaches Isamu. One day, the customer who came was Kuniko's former colleague. Futaba resolutely confronts a colleague who laughs at Kuniko for telling a lie. And Futaba and Isamu vow to each other that they will continue to protect the inn.
秩父にほど近い温泉街の旅館の女将・双葉は夫の支配人・勇から旅行ガイドのライターがお忍びで取材にやって来るという噂を聞き、それらしき男に過剰接待をしてしまう。それに焼餅を焼く勇に、横恋慕している仲居の邦子が言い寄る。ある日やって来た客は、邦子の元同僚だった。ある嘘をついていた邦子を笑う同僚に、双葉は決然と対する。そして、双葉と勇はこれからも旅館を守っていこうと誓い合うのだった。
치치부에 가까운 온천가의 여관의 여장인 후타바는 남편의 지배인·용으로부터 여행 가이드의 라이터가 참석해 취재에 온다는 소문을 듣고, 그들 녀석에게 과잉 접대를 해 버린다. 게다가 소떡을 굽는 용에, 옆 연모하고 있는 나카이의 쿠니코가 말한다. 어느 날 온 손님은 쿠니코의 전 동료였다. 어떤 거짓말을 하고 있던 쿠니코를 웃는 동료에게, 후타바는 결연과 대한다. 그리고 후타바와 용은 앞으로도 여관을 지키려고 맹세하는 것이었다.
