In 1998, Mayumi Hayashi was arrested in connection with the arsenic-related mass murder that occurred in Wakayama. He mixed arsenic into curry pots at a summer festival, resulting in four deaths and 63 arsenic poisonings, and was charged with the death penalty at the Wakayama District Court. It is said that he even smiled when the trial court sentenced him to death. However, no one knows that this smile is the symbol of a woman who is willing to sacrifice herself to protect the man she loves...
1998年、和歌山で起きたヒ素による大量殺人事件で逮捕された林真由美被告。夏祭りでカレー鍋にヒ素を混入し、4人の死亡者と63人のヒ素中毒者を出し、和歌山地裁での一審では死刑罪に問われた…。一審での死刑判決の際には笑顔すら浮かべたという。だが、この笑顔こそが愛した男を庇う為、自己犠牲をいとわない女の意地であると言う事を誰も知らない…。
1998년 와카야마에서 일어난 비소에 의한 대량 살인 사건으로 체포된 하야시 마유미 피고. 여름 축제에서 카레 냄비에 비소를 혼입해, 4명의 사망자와 63명의 비소 중독자를 내고, 와카야마 지재에서의 일심에서는 사형죄에 묻혔다… 한심으로 사형 판결 때에는 웃는 얼굴조차 떠올랐다고 한다. 하지만, 이 웃는 얼굴이야말로 사랑한 남자를 망치기 때문에, 자기 희생을 사치지 않는 여자의 의지라고 말하는 것을 아무도 모른다…
