DESCRIPTION
Hanako and Kenkichi move into a two-story tenement house in the downtown area where Hanako's mother lived until her death. As I was briefly packing up my things and eating the delivered soba, a man came up and started eating the soba with me without really saying hello. This is Chipei Soka, the resident next door. Hanako, who was born and raised in a downtown area, was used to such casual relationships, but Kenkichi, who grew up in the mountains, was uncomfortable.
