バブル崩壊以来、日本は未曾有の不況に見舞われている。そして、この会社「エムエム保険」にも不況の波が押し寄せ、それを回避するためにリストラを行うことになった。男子社員は、今リストラにあえば、「子供の教育費、ローンなどの返済が出来なくなる」と、女子社員に従順な態度で仕事をこなしていく。顔、体をハイヒールで容赦なく蹴られても、刃向うでもなく耐えていたが…。
버블 붕괴 이후 일본은 미증유의 불황에 휩쓸리고 있다. 그리고 이 회사 '엠엠보험'에도 불황의 물결이 밀려나와 그것을 회피하기 위해 구조조정을 하게 됐다. 남자 사원은, 지금 구조조정에 굳이, 「아이의 교육비, 대출 등의 상환을 할 수 없게 된다」라고, 여자 사원에게 순종하는 태도로 일을 해 나간다. 얼굴, 몸을 하이힐로 용서 없이 걷어차도, 칼날도 아니라 견디고 있었지만…
