A ryokan is visited by people with various reasons. The people who work here are the widowed proprietress Fukiko, the chef Shoichi, and the waitress Tamie. The inn has gained a reputation for sometimes supporting an unfaithful couple between a professor and a student, and sometimes for comforting the president of a company in financial trouble. One day, Shoichi reveals a surprising secret...
さまざまな事情を抱いた人が訪れる旅館。ここで働くのは未亡人女将・富貴子と板前の正一、仲居の多美江である。正一が現れたことで経営不振から立ち直ったことに感謝し、富貴子は正一と結ばれる。あるときは教授と学生の不倫カップルを応援し、ある時は経営不振の会社社長を癒し、と評判になっていく旅館。そんなある日、正一は驚くべき秘密を打ち明ける…。
다양한 사정을 가진 사람이 방문하는 료칸. 여기서 일하는 것은 미망인 여장·부키코와 이타마에의 마사이치, 나카이의 다미에이다. 쇼이치가 나타난 것으로 경영 부진에서 되돌아온 것에 감사하고, 후미코는 쇼이치와 연결된다. 어느 때는 교수와 학생의 불륜 커플을 응원해, 어느 때는 경영 부진의 회사 사장을 치유해, 라고 평판이 되어 가는 여관. 그런 어느 날, 마사이치는 놀라운 비밀을 털어놓는다.
