九州から東京の病院へ移動となり、息子と二人で慣れない東京での生活を送ることになった玲子。彼女は生まれも育ちも生粋の九州女、持ち前の気立ての良さでいつも周りの人たちを笑顔にさせていた。その行き過ぎた優しさは、時としてやり過ぎてしまうことさえあったが…。そんな玲子の家庭は一見平穏そうに見えるが、実際は違っていた…。
