DESCRIPTION
It's been three years since I took over the hot spring inn from my predecessor, and I was worried about the days when the quiet birds were chirping. My wife, Kaori, the landlady, supported me, but the inn was on the verge of going out of business...At that time, my wife's childhood friend, Saji, came to stay at the inn. Mr. Saji works at an advertising agency, and I remember how we hit it off and decided to liven up the inn together, but it seems like I fell asleep. From that day onwards, the following week, the business made a V-shaped recovery, but for some reason, my wife didn't look happy. I chase Kaori as she slips out of bed late at night to find out what's wrong with my wife, but she disappears into the guest room of Saji, who has come to stay again.
僕が先代から温泉宿を引き継いで3年、閑古鳥が鳴く日々に頭を悩ませていました。妻で女将のかおりはそんな僕を支えてくれたのですが、宿は廃業寸前…そんな時、妻の幼馴染である左慈さんが宿へ泊まりに来る事になりました。左慈さんは広告代理店勤務で、一緒に宿を盛り上げましょうと意気投合した所までは覚えているのですが、どうやら僕は眠ってしまったようです。翌週からその日を境に経営がV字回復したのですが、何故か妻は浮かない顔。妻の悩みを突き止めようと深夜、ベッドを抜け出すかおりを追いかけたのですが、再び泊まりに来た左慈の客室へと消えていって…。
내가 선대부터 온천 숙소를 이어 3년, 한고조가 울리는 날마다 머리를 괴롭히고 있었습니다. 아내로 여장의 카오리는 그런 나를 지지해 주었습니다만, 숙소는 폐업 직전… 좌자씨는 광고 대리점 근무로, 함께 숙소를 북돋우자고 의기투합한 곳까지는 기억하고 있습니다만, 아무래도 나는 잠들어 버린 것 같습니다. 다음 주부터 그 날을 경계로 경영이 V자 회복했습니다만, 왠지 아내는 떠오르지 않는 얼굴. 아내의 고민을 찾아내려고 심야, 침대를 빠져나가는 카오리를 쫓았지만, 다시 묵으러 온 좌자의 객실로 사라져 가고…
