Yuu's student life of leaving home and living alone in a dormitory is coming to an end, and he is about to graduate. 家を出て寮で一人暮らしの学生生活も終わりを迎え、卒業間近のゆう。そして、卒業式の帰り道、笑顔で駆けよってくる義母・真利奈との再会に秘めていた想いがまた燻ぶりだすのだった。その夜、2人きりの卒業祝いで飲み過ぎてしまった真利奈はゆうにホテルまで送られて…。暴走しそうになる気持ちを抑え、部屋を出ようとする彼に真利奈は「私からの卒業祝い、受け取って…」と優しく口づけを…。そして少年は大人の階段を上るのだった。
집을 나와 기숙사에서 혼자 사는 학생 생활도 끝을 맞아 졸업 가까이 유. 그리고, 졸업식의 돌아가는 길, 웃는 얼굴로 달려오는 장모·마리나와의 재회에 숨어 있던 마음이 또 훈훈한 것이었다. 그날 밤, 둘만의 졸업 축하로 너무 많이 마신 마리나는 유우에 호텔까지 보내져… 폭주할 것 같게 되는 기분을 억제해, 방을 나오려고 하는 그에게 마리나는 「나로부터의 졸업 축하, 받고… 」라고 상냥하게 입을… 그리고 소년은 어른의 계단을 오르는 것이었다.
