300年続いた「幕府」が維新によって転覆した「ある時代」それまでの男尊女卑の思想が終焉し、女が男を支配する新時代へと改革した土地がある。女たちは権力も財も手に入れ、これまで女が男に春を売っていた遊郭は廃れ、男が女に快楽を売る「陰間茶屋」が発展していた。その中でも伝統を重んじ形を変えながら家を守ってきた陰間宿「山口庵」はその土地随一の隆盛を誇り、そこを恐れる男たちから「痴女の巣城」と呼ばれていた。
300년 이어진 '막부'가 유신에 의해 전복된 '어느 시대' 그동안 남존녀비의 사상이 종말되어 여자가 남자를 지배하는 신시대로 개혁한 땅이 있다. 여자들은 권력도 재물도 손에 넣고, 지금까지 여자가 남자에게 봄을 팔고 있던 유곽은 폐해, 남자가 여자에게 쾌락을 팔는 ‘음간차야’가 발전하고 있었다. 그 중에서도 전통을 무겁게 모양을 바꾸면서 집을 지켜 온 음간숙 「야마구치안」은 그 토지 제일의 다카모리를 자랑해, 거기를 두려워하는 남자들로부터 「색녀의 소성」이라고 불리고 있었다.
