DESCRIPTION
Mr. and Mrs. Shiho run a kimono shop in Nagoya, and due to financial difficulties, they travel around Japan holding kimono exhibitions and sales events. To cut costs, her husband drives the truck and does the peddling. One day, while traveling from Nagoya to Sendai, his truck broke down in Tokyo and he was stranded. Shiho decides to stay at her sister Matsueda's house in Tokyo for a while. Taking this opportunity, Shiho goes with her niece, Izumi, a university student, to visit her stepson Masao, who lives in Tokyo and is an aspiring musician.
名古屋で呉服屋を営んでいる志保夫妻は経営難から、着物の展示販売会を日本を行脚して展開していた。経費節減のため夫がトラックを運転しての行商である。ある日、名古屋から仙台に移動中、トラックが東京で故障し立ち往生。志保は東京にいる姉・松枝の家にしばらく泊めてもらうことに。この機会に志保は東京に住む義息子でミュージシャン志望の正雄を訪ねに、姪っ子で大学生のいずみと行くのだが…。
