「싫으면 돈 가지고 도망치면 좋겠어. 아이츠들도 여자 사고 있어, 울고 잠들 수 밖에 없어」라고 엄마는 말하지만, 그렇지 않은 경우는 가르쳐 주지 않았다. 「있는 거지, 너처럼 도망치는 아이. 조금 엄마에게 전화해도 좋을까?」 오지산의 어조는 온화했지만, 내 손목을 잡은 굵은 손가락이 아슬아슬하게 박혀, 그 눈은 조금도 웃지 않았다--. 「너의 새로운 아빠야」 엄마로부터 소개된 4번째 아빠는 얕은 피부에 날카로운 눈빛으로 「조용히 하세요, 엄마 자고 있으니까」라고 말하면서 나를 ●하는 남자였다. 그래도 엄마에게 있어서는 소중한 사람으로, 「가족을 위해서 우리에게 벌 수 있다」라고 남자가 말해 왔을 때는, 「좋은 생각이다」와 함께 되어 나를 설득했다. 사랑하는 엄마는 유일한 가족이었기 때문에 나는 싫은 것도 참았다. 도움이 되면 칭찬받을 수 있다고 생각했으니까. 엄마도 나를 좋아한다고, 그렇게 믿었으니까. 「케이사츠라든지 용서해. 안타가 굳어졌으니까 안타가 책임지지 않아」 전화로부터 들려오는 엄마의 차가운 목소리와 남자의 웃음. 내 다리를 핥아 돌리는 오지산을 내려다보며 강하게 입술을 씹었다. 더러운 어른들에게 이용되어 마음과 신체가 먹혀 간다. 슬픈 소녀의 이야기.
