DESCRIPTION
Souichi left his town in Tohoku to work and live alone in Tokyo. One day, his mother Akiko, who lives in the countryside, came to check on him. Souichi is surprised, but he invites her to his home to spend a few days doing filial piety. They eat their mother's cooking and huddle together on the same futon. Souichi understands Akiko's feelings when she confesses her loneliness, and does what she asks, hugging the elderly woman's body and providing warmth...
東北の町を出て東京で働き、一人暮らしをしている総一。彼の元にある日、田舎で暮らす母親の昭子が様子を見にやって来た。驚いた総一だったが、数日間の親孝行をしようと自宅に招く。母の手料理を食べ、同じ布団で体を寄せ合う。そして寂しさを告白する昭子の気持ちを汲んだ総一は、求められるがままに初老の体を抱きしめ、温もりを与えるのだった…。
