It's a mountain village that doesn't even appear on maps. In that village where time seems to have stopped, the law of ``exchanging emotions through the use of the body'' has been passed down from generation to generation. Even blood ties did not separate them, and skin-to-skin communication was the only "language" in this village. The original novel written by Akiko Kirishima is not one of oppression or immorality, but rather of 'forgiven pleasure'. Mothers and daughters - the lust and desire of women, passed down through generations, blooms without being denied by anyone. Visual poet Henry Tsukamoto breathes life into this story, and what is projected on screen is not extremeness but ``true sensuality.'' People may be able to face their deepest impulses most honestly in places where common sense makes no sense.
そこは、地図にすら載らない山間の集落。時が止まったように見えるその村では、昔から‘身体を使って情を交わす’という掟が代々続いていた。血のつながりさえも隔てにはならず、肌と肌が語り合うことが、この村における唯一の「言葉」だった。桐嶋秋子が描いた原作小説には、抑圧でも背徳でもない、むしろ‘赦された快楽’が流れている。母と娘--世代を超えて受け継がれる女たちの色香と欲望は、誰に否定されることもなく咲き乱れる。映像詩人・ヘンリー塚本がその物語に命を吹き込み、画面に映し出されるのは、過激さではなく‘真の官能’。常識が意味をなさない場所でこそ、人はもっとも素直に、自分の奥底にある衝動と向き合えるのかもしれない。
거기는 지도조차 없는 산간의 마을. 때가 멈춘 것처럼 보이는 그 마을에서는 옛날부터 ‘신체를 사용해 정을 나눈다’는 갓이 대대로 이어지고 있었다. 피의 연결조차도 분리되지 않아 피부와 피부가 서로 이야기하는 것이 이 마을에 있어서의 유일한 「말」이었다. 키리시마 아키코가 그린 원작 소설에는 억압도 배덕도 아닌 오히려 ‘용서받은 쾌락’이 흐르고 있다. 어머니와 딸--세대를 넘어 계승되는 여자들의 색향과 욕망은 누구에게 부정되는 일 없이 피어난다. 영상시인 헨리 츠카모토가 그 이야기에 생명을 불어넣어 화면에 비추어지는 것은 과격함이 아니라 ‘진정한 관능’. 상식이 의미가 없는 곳이야말로 사람은 가장 솔직하게 자신의 안쪽에 있는 충동과 마주할 수 있을지도 모른다.
